The Returns: Spring, Beaches, Star Wars

Get your sun glasses out!! And watch out for that glare. That sun is playing peek-a-boo.
Seattle and Salt Lake is a little bit similar. Salt Lake during Conference experienced 69 degree on Saturday and 40 the next day with snow. That is just crazy!! Seattle's temperature doesn't change as drastically, however we got the crazy rain, sunny, and hail all on the same day. I spent my birthday feeling all the emotions from the affect of the weather. We went to REI and it was sprinkling, walked outside to the Redmond Town Center and it was sunny so we got ice cream. We played outside and got hot so we took off our jackets. We got in the car and drove home and it started to rain. Talked to my mother in law and it was downright pouring. Talked to my mom and it was hailing. Got in in the pool with the fam and it was sunny. Crazy but we had a fabulous time eating sweets and swimming it off. We were in the pool for over 2 hours. Of course I made myself a cake. I couldn't resist it. I'm cheesy, I know.

We love Seattle, it's exciting here. Much better than Spanish Fork that's for sure. That's why our property in Spanish Fork was intended for an investment property and our property here, although still just land (inspectors, hurry up with your reports!) is going to be our home for a long time. Any property we buy next I think is just going to be vacation property. Hopefully we won't have to move again for a long long time.
Speaking of property, our lot loan is now rolled into our construction loan which just got finished with the underwriter. It had to go through them again after our permit because they needed insurance information on my house in Philadelphia which my parents gave me for a penny (I actually paid my dad a penny when we signed it :). Anyway we were delayed 2 and a half weeks but things should be moving a long now. Hopefully. We would like to be moved in before Reena starts kindergarten.
Springing much delight. To my dearest ballerina. I love you. You make my spring pictures so much prettier because of the beauty you carry so gracefully within you.
Reena's showing off her dance moves and working towards her recital.
Rhododendrons, a favorite of ours. Our front yard will loook close to this one. With a light post and a flower pit/circle of rhododendrons of purple and white.
Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination
We saw more than 80 authentic costumes, interactive displays, models and props from all six Star Wars films.
Reena fascinated by Luke's landspeeder.
Brie didn't care so much for the Wampa.

Reena and daddy trying to build a strong R2D2. Brie is the tester.

So many more pictures which we couldn't show all here. We had fun. Definitely worth the $$. Dan's face lifted when we walked in. There is something interesting about Star Wars that even a 2 year old gets excited. Must be the strong influence of the force.
Brie was in heaven when she saw this chewbaca stuffed toy. It was $200 otherwise we would've gotten it for her. She was so sad. Poor thing. They had to have the store right next to the exit. You can't leave the place without going through the store so there was no choice to get around this. She loves stuffed toys. She's very specific about which stuffed toy she wants to sleep with every night. Sometimes it's "cow", other times it's "elfphant" or "bear".

The Returns: So it was Spring, then Star Wars, then to our favorite place for biking and playing in the sand and digging for shells. Alki beach. We just love that place.

The tides were so low here the kids could walk out to where there used to be water 3 ft high.

I did some photography for a family and then took the family to Pioneer park for a few fun ones. I'm teaching Dan what I know and he's getting so much better at it now. I still pick the backgrounds but his pictures are beautiful. I love this one of Brie and I. A little out of focus, but I LOVE her expression.
Overall we had a fabulous 2 weeks. I was interviewed today by Mormon.org for their "I'm a Mormon" webisodes. Mamma's Hands House of Hope will be featured in 3 weeks on Mormon.org and they will be returning from Salt Lake to do a one hour long film on the life of the director of the House of Hope which will be sold throughout Deseret Books. It's neat. Hopefully we'll have more supporters through this.
