March on

My day today started off with a trip to Paclab for some tests, a gig in Seattle, girls night out pasta eating before the Cinco de Mayo race tomorrow with the ladies, a trip to Ulta, a business plan discussion with a neighbor in the Highlands for a fashion store.  You can see the website here. https://squareup.com/market/highlands-wholesaling.  This is straight up my closet here.  Anything you buy from this website will help me in the future for a fashion store.  There are a tons of clothes that are fashionable, beautiful, trendy but not overly busy or loud.  I fell in love with her selection and she and I have similar tastes and will be running this together.  You would not think I would be sitting here writing a blog post.  But sometimes when you have so much on your mind, writing it down is therapeutic.  Of course you don't want to overdo it when you have an audience that might not be interested but in case you have sometime, allow me to enter your mind.  I have to be careful that when the hubby reads this he isn't making fun of me like he does with his brother who writes everything in the finest details down and the whole family teases him about it.  I'm thick skin and it takes a lot to offend me though so tease up.  When writing he says, leave room for your audience to have a conversation with you afterward.  I guess that's why he and his one brother doesn't talk much with each other.  Then again, I don't think he reads his brother's newsletters so I don't know why it matters.  I have opened up my blog for more people to read.  I feel like they cover our lives better than a few posts on occasions from Facebook.

Without much further ado, let's cover March:
Our family have pulled back a little since our trip to Vietnam.  The last 2 years we went to Europe, Disney world, Disneyland, Vietnam.  We're far from family so many trips to see families as well.  We need a month like March to prepare us for the next few months in the Summer and late Spring (like Lake Powell next week) where our family will most likely visit Legoland and Disneyland again.  I don't get people who just stay around town or nearby.  I feel the itch for traveling when we spend too much time around town, even though there are so much to do here.
The event here is: Frozen fever/Cinderella viewing in the theater.  My friend Andrea and I took the girls to see that movie.  My review on Cinderella:  Fantastic, one of the best movies of the year.  I love the message it delivers:  Have courage and be kind.
Yes I mean for this picture to be sideway.  It's more true to the subjects inside the picture.
I was called to be the Activity Days for Girls leader and it is one of my favorites.  When the bishopric called me, they said "we are looking for someone fun, energetic, creative, spunky, and spiritual and your name popped up".  Glad to know I fit the role.  I'm having so much fun with this calling
We meet at my house for the activities but this event here is at a Stake level and I got to help with it as a leader
The theme of this month was " developing a talent".  I brought out my many boxes of old jewelry and with the tools from my jewelry business I taught these girls to repurpose and made new jewelries out of old ones.

St.Patty's day is always unique to us because it is my daddy's birthday.  He is 61 this year.  Getting up there.  I asked him how he feels about being 61 and as always he said he feels nothing in particular about his age, except when I turn a year older, that he can't believe.  He has a daughter that is 32 years old?  His baby is 32.  That he can't believe.  Hey at least I'm 4 years younger than Dan.  He still makes me feel so much younger.

And just to throw some stuff in there about this kid.  He gets into so much trouble at home.  Climbing into my soaking tub, turning on faucets, etc...But a ride, boy he loves his car seat.  That and playing with friends.  He loves playgroup.  He is singing and dancing to all the songs I teach.  Makes me feel like I've succeeded in some ways

Our Stake had spring conference and I took Ro with me so Dan and the girls could start on their bunk bed making project.  He made a work table first and then got to work

It's almost done in this picture.  It is done now but we'll save that for April
Bye bye metal beds.  You are history.

And after such a hard day of labor, you chill out with a bottle of milk for the baby and some cold root beer for the daddy.

A Hawaain Hay stack party with some friends to relax on Sunday

We had many many sunny warm days in March.  I couldn't resist playing out in the sun, wearing trendy sunglasses, shorts, thin chiffon shirts, sandals and fashion shopping for a new closet of clothes for everyone for the summer.  Maybe we got a little too excited.

I think somehow I picked up the right guy for me.  He is such a help around the house.  I think I'm partly to blame for his being behind in the newsletters that he needs to send to his mom.  He helps with so much around the house.  He does the laundry, dishes, read to the kids, clean up after their mess, making time for me, and he's a bit of a homemaker.  He has gotten into make yogurt.  Yes!  Homemade yogurt, and granola, on top of jerkey, and things with eggs.  I love this man.  He has no time to write lengthy letters because truly, he's doing so much to help out.
And then there's this cute girl.  An animal lover.  She loves carrying those stinky ferrets around.  Did you know ferrets are cousins to skunks??

And then there is this other girl who decided that she wants mommy and daddy to empty out their savings for her.  OK she didn't decide this but her dentist thinks she needs expanders to give her baby teeth room to grow in and braces to straighten out her teeth to make room for more teeth to come in.  So March was full of orthodontist appointments and holy crap they were expensive, yes even with insurance.  But she also made us proud for scoring a 98% on her SBAC placement test.  She's still cute and a pretty smile is worth the cost.

Park and searching for wild frogs are some of Ronin's things on the checklist for everyday entertainment.  That kid is so tanned now and it's only Spring.
Violin lessons, karate classes, horebacking ridding lessons and baking goodies.  I think these are the other fillers of our month.  And here is a super adorable picture of my super cute son.  Gosh he's cute.  Until next blog!  Mind the grammar and typos.  It's midnight.  No proof read here :)
