October Part 1: Ronin's Chuggington Birthday Party

October was a nice month for us.  Ronin turned 2.  He is the most adorable 2 year old ever!  I could hardly believe he is two.  I can still remember vividly his birth.  He came 4 days early, a wonderful treat for any mother in discomfort and any mother who goes to 40 weeks knows that the last 3 weeks is so very uncomfortable.  Your hips start shifting, you feel huge, you can't sleep, etc...But it's either that or a high risk pregnancy or having twins where most likely you have to be induced early but that comes with a price where you're constantly worried about the well being of your child and that can have an affect on your child.  Ronin though is a very happy baby and I think it was because we were so thrilled to have a boy to balance our family out a bit.  His birth was fast, too fast, another natural childbirth for me, but an easy one at least.  Now I'm at it again with his brother, only 2 years later, although hopefully this time I get some drugs :).  He is very sweet when it comes to talking about the baby.  Kisses and hugs and always asking "mama otay?  mama alright?  oh, otay"

Just like I love everything about Ronin's birth, I love everything about this sweet boy's personality.  He has become quite a little talker in the last couple of months.  He loves trains, wholeheartedly.  It was only appropriate to have a train birthday party for him.  The show he loves is called Chuggington and the character he likes in it is Koko.  He asks for it with the biggest round eyes it's nearly impossible to turn him down.  "Oh otay, thank you mama" every time you turn it on for him.  I love that boy!

I love his dimple!  He is such a smiley boy

His sisters wanted to be a part of making his cake.  We made homemade marshmallow fondant and piled the cake with frosting, which doesn't help with the smoothness of the fondant but it sure tasted good.

The best part about Ronin's birthday is it usually falls around Issaquah Salmon Day and General Conference and that brings families together.  Both sets of cousins and their kids were able to make it to his birthday which made for a very fun celebration

Yum!  Caramel Chocolate Dulce le Leche frosting

Dave and Kim gave him a very cute Yoda backpack for his present

Cool toy from Ong ba Ngoai
To keep the kids entertained during Conference and Ronin's birthday, I made a Conference board.  Even Ronin was engaged!  He loved moving the pieces around, and so did his siblings and cousins.  It was a success!!

Well that's it for now!  I'm singing a solo tomorrow at church so I better get to bed.  Next up, East Coast Trip.  Stay tuned and thanks for reading our blog!!
