March started off with mother daughter dates and mother-son dates for us. I cannot get enough of Darion and all his chubs. He is a very tall boy, hanging out at the 98% for height. Still around the 90% for weight.
(Roro loves his Star Wars shirt. Thank you aunt Tiffany)
We saw a lot of rainbows in March. It didn't rain much, just a lot of sprinkles
Here is the article on me and my assistant Katie about our community playgroup. Our group is supported by Swedish Hospital where we get funding for free snacks and crafts for the kids and free use of the community Hall.
March 5th was a busy day for Dan and I. I was asked to take charge in our Stake Spring Conference. It included making all those table arrangements. I had a lot of fun but was a lot of work. It was on the same weekend as Dan's dad's ordination and it took up most of my Saturday. Dan decided to fly in to see his mom and dad and his siblings for the ordination on the day off. That was a very fun trip for Dan.
I made a visit to our famous Pike Place Market for inspiration on the flower arrangements. I was able to use a lot of plants from our garden to add to the flowers and kept the cost low.
The girls had a dress up as your favorite character from a book day. I knew those costumes I made would have another use! Of course they would choose Hermoine and Ginny from Harry Potter! EXPELLIARMUS!
We got an elder from Korea! Hooray for Asian power :)
Ms Reena got new glasses.
Happy green smoothie day...I mean St. Patricks day (Green eggs and ham is a tradition here now. The kids expect it!)
Uhm...don't ask me what
We see a lot more paragliders
Trying out new gardening styles. Dan and the kids got pipes and spent some time cutting holes out of them for strawberry planting
EASTER! We got together at Dan's cousin Shelly's house
I made a fruit salad and some Resurrection roles.
I put together a spiritual egg hunt with scripture messages inside about Easter and filled with chocolate for the kids to find
Pinewood Derby - Reena had her first derby race with her activity days girls. She designed and painted her car. Dan spent a few minutes cutting it for her and the rest of the sanding and nailing she did by herself. She was disappointed that she didn't win but as the MC of the event said "most of the girls dads made their cars" so Reena was racing against the dads and for that she didn't do too bad
On the same day of her Pinewood Derby she had a 4th grade Recorder concert. They played some of my favorite songs like Dynamite, Amazing Grace, etc...
And the rest of March was just having fun with these boys. Roro misses her sisters a lot when they are at school. He always says "I want to go to school with Reenas" when we leave. He has his own schooling in the morning...writing his ABC's which he is getting really good at. He loves playing Duck duck goose, a must every night after scriptures and prayer.
