Reena's Cowgirl Littlest Petshop Birthday Party

I forgot to mention in June Part II that we also went to the petting zoo while we were in Utah.  It was there that Reena decided that she wants to have a horse birthday party.  She loves animals, but especially horses!!

With Pinterest being so cool and with gazillion ideas with detail images readily available at your fingertips in a matter of an instant after a one word search "cowgirl" or "birthday" or whatever the theme/word you put in, people are getting pretty good.  But to be creative in my eyes takes on some kind of innovation as well as putting in your own creativity.  The danger is spending hours looking at others' work but not implementing or coming up with your own ideas.  This mamma is guilty of that but the most important part is that Reena had a fun time with all the games we came up with to entertain her and her friends.   The smile on this gorgeous 8 year old says it all.  I love taking her pictures.  She is such a natural.

Even though she knew she wanted a cowgirl birthday, she was watching Littlest Petshop and begged if she could somehow combine the themes cowgirl and littlest petshop into one party.  I obliged since she was so persistent.   So with much looking around for ideas, I came up with animal balloons, cupcakes with littlest petshop characters on it and cute little animal print hats for the littlest petshop portion and straw hats, bandana, and cowgirl treats.

We took the party out to the park.  It was so much work but that was her request.  We've had her party outside many times before and she's loved them all so we obliged.

Her cake took me forever to make

We had horse shoe games as well as volleyball with balloons in the shape of a horseshoe

And all that to entertain my 8 year old.  Guess I truly live for my kids.  Love my Reena so so much!!
