Every time I get a chance to talk to someone they ask "Have you been to so and so place?" This city is full of endless places and things to do. We love it! There's not enough time to hit all these places. Not enough energy! But recently it has been extremely hot and I will resist the temptation to talk about it because enough have been said on facebook but know this, we've had 7 times less rain than Phoenix, AZ this month if that says something. It's finally cooling off. too cool for my likeness but Dan likes it. Last week the kids and I went to a friend's house and used her kiddie pool and took advantage of her air conditioning house. The only thing that bothers me about Seattle is that 800,000 900,000 homes around here don't have air conditioning built in. It's an upgrade! What?!!! So off to the beaches we went First to Pine Lake Park Beach with some friends. One of the prettiest places I've been to. The next day we drove to Groveland Beach and then 2 days later we all went to Clarke beach in Mercer Island to see the Blue Angels. They come every year and have an air show here over the water. We need a better camera but we're saving up for a nice one so this will have to do for now.

Beach Hopping
About a year ago we had a strong prompting to move. It made no sense to us why that would be the right thing to do. We had purchased a home, worked really hard to put in a yard and was starting to feel settled down. But the prompting kept getting stronger and stronger so Dan started looking for a job, here in the Seattle area. He got an interview with Amazon and we were waiting to hear back from them when his company decided to let go 30% of their employees. Although Dan was not one of them, he was glad that the Lord was looking out for us and inspired us to look for something better. Amazon offered Dan a better paying and more promising job and we took it in a heart beat. They provided us with luxury living for 2 months in one of Seattle's best high rise living apartments. We were on the 21st level looking out to the bay and it was beautiful. Our house in Spanish Fork is still ours and we are renting it out but with no regrets we are glad we're here. We love our families and hope that some of them will join us up here someday. Two of Thuan's sisters are sold on the idea of settling here after grads school.
