Considering that the month of December is almost over I guess I'm over due. On vacation and still have to blog. Family history, yes this is what it's all about.
Debrie cuts her hair
The month of November was a very fun and relaxing month for us overall, until Brie decided to cut her hair. We were all downstairs playing a fun game of Dominion with our friends and our friends kid and our kids got together and played house and they created a beauty shop. We were oblivious to what was going on upstairs thinking that the kids are playing nicely. We played the game quite intensely- pretty much whenever I play a game I play it intensely and I won and I celebrated and was very happy and we were all pretty happy, that is until we came upstairs. We saw first stuffed animals fur, then scissors and then our hearts dropped. Long strands of strawberry blond hair covered the bathroom floor followed by a few brunette hair on the counter with 3 pairs of school scissors taken from my preschool room. Devastated, mortified, saddened. Angry feelings came over both of us. We looked at each other, looked at Debrie and without even saying anything she burst into tears. Tears of guilt and sorrow. She knew we were disappointed even though we haven't even begin yelling at her. We wanted to laugh at her cute response but we were truly disappointed that now her hair which has taken her over 3 years to grow to shoulder length now has to be taken back to when she was 1. She had a very hard time understanding that I had to cut it up. She kept saying that I give her boy hair. "I don't like my boy hair I don't like my boy hair". We had to do a google search of pixie hair cuts for her to see and we had to convince her that a lot of people get pixie haircuts. We took a lot of pictures to show her the new cut and she now likes her pixie cut a lot. She looks very stylish. A lot of people agreed.

Big sister was a little wiser but still cut off a 1/3 of her hair. I have also just fixed it up.

Our family decided to take a Veteran's weekend vacation in Spokane. We booked a fancy luxury hotel and lived fancy as part of the fun. It's one of those things that's fun to check off your to do list. We toured the old Davenport hotel and stayed at the Davenport tower. We attempted to go see an old friend and almost got stuck in the snow on our way to their house. It decided to snow while we were there so we had to rush to Gap and get the kids gloves and hats. The mall is across from the hotel so it was convenient thankfully.

We got the 21st level. Yay!!!
We took the kiddos to the Spokane's Children 's Museum and Mobius Science Museum. The Mobius Science Museum was a very fun interactive museum.
We played hard.
Dan's trip to Ohio, Indiana, Tennesse, KentuckyDan implemented some codes that kicked off well so he got some attention at work. A Scottish man took him to 4 states and they traveled to different Amazon fulfillment centers. We were parted for 4 days, longest we've ever been apart. He came back and said that we will be going to Europe in February. Exciting!!!
We got ready for Christmas a little earlier than usual and then headed out of town on December 11th for 2 weeks of work in Delaware and Allentown, PA, which were both an hour from my parents house so we got to hang out with my mom during the day. He came back in time for Thanksgiving. We had Thanksgiving dinner and slept over at Matt and Shelly's place, Dan's cousins and got tickets to see the Barbershop Christmas Concert that Matt was a part of and we got to see 545 Express, Seattle's best Barbershop group.
Thanks for visiting our blog!!!! Come again soon to see our pics from NY, D.C Philly.
