June I -Boise Idaho

I'm 4 months behind!  Again.  How is this happening?  Dan and I have been super busy. Here's my attempt to catch us up.  So much has happened.  Dan would write better than I can.  He's very much straight to the point, except he is even further behind.  His goal is to write one letter every 4 months. If that!
Our philosophy is work hard, play hard.  In June, we exercised hard, too.  Dan and I trained for our mud run, then the half marathon.  Every morning I was going to the gym and every night he was going to gym.  We worked hard, then we played.  And no one plays as hard as our family.  We take our kids every where. We like it that way so it's much more interesting to read about our lives because it's not the same old :)
1st of June Debrie went to a birthday party at her friend Mina's house.  Mina's mom owns a restaurant down the hill and that is where the party was.  I became friend with Mina's mom Noina and she brought me free food from the restaurant.  It is awesome being a friend to a restaurant owner.
Three days later we set off for Boise for the weekend.  It was a short trip but it was enough to satisfy me for a while.  I got to meet my newest nephew.  He is a chunker!  He weighed 16 lbs at almost 3 months.  What a sweetie pie.  My sister and brother in law flew with him from Albany to Boise, where they had interviews for a new jobs and possibly move there in the future.  I was pretty happy to snuggle with my other nephew as well.  He visited me at Christmas and he grew up so much in just 5 months!

I took some pictures for my sister and her sister in law's family as well.  You can see them here at my photography blog http://seastevensphotography.blogspot.com/
This month I was featured in the Sammamish paper.  Pretty cool
We had a lot of swim days...
My little crawler is just so dang cute.  He started crawling right at 6 months.  Loosing a lot of his chubs
We went with several ward members to the Mariner's game for LDS night.  Everyone got a free LDS night Mariner's t-shirts.  Poor Darion didn't like it when everyone clapped their hands and cheered.  He cried every time they cheered.

The 20 course MUD Run!!!
5k 20 obstacle course, lots of mud, a fun date with the hubby. We were in the first wave and were last to leave but we ran through competitively and were within the first 20 to return, washed ourselves off and got back in time to take pics of our friends #wesurvived #MudrunSnoqalmie

Put that on for your little ones and you can have about 10 minutes to get whatever you want to get done :). I hope to do this for Vietnamese so my kiddos can learn my native language but for now...for my Spanish friends. How's my Spanish??😃
How's that braiding job, eh?? I'm sure it's messier now after a day at school. But my gosh she looks so grown up. Wish I could freeze time. My baby is growing up too fast!!

I've gotten into video and filming/editting.  Just going to insert in here the videos I've done in June
Excuse the poor quality. I'm no video editor but the part where she pointed her finger should give you a good laugh. #learnViet
She started singing at a year and a half. And then she pointed her finger and tells us to teach her to walk in the light. Now she is 7

Seattle Rock and Roll Half Marathon
My family really loves me or something.  My mom and dad, sister and brother in law came out to Seattle to run with us.  My parents watched the kids.  My other sister Thuyen was going to run but due to work emergency had to cancel.  Dan, who has been training stepped in to cover for her.  He got a good deal because registration was $135/person so he wasn't going to run. He was the best out of all of us.

13.1 miles. My time 2 hr 12min. Dan was 2 hr 1 min.

We took everyone to Zillow for free entertainment and snacks

And we took everyone to go kayaking at our friend Susan's house, which we also put a deposit down to rent for the Stevens reunion.  We also had my brother in law's parents stayed at our house while they vacay in Seattle for a week.  It was so much fun to have a house full of people.  We love company.  We had karaoke nights and made amazing food together.  Everyone had so much fun singing. It was awesome! See you on the next post about my Transamerica Convention in Vegas, our trip to San Diego and Phoenix as a family.
