End of July/ Early August

In the attempt to catch up I'm going to let the pictures tell the stories.  I have a few pics from even before the reunion that I believe I didn't include.

The little girl cousins eating together at the reunion is what I miss the most!!!  My girls miss their cousins a lot and we already made plans to visit them again before the end of the reunion.

After the reunion we took Dan's brother crabbing.  He was the only one in the whole family that stayed for a little longer after.  They went and did all the popular stuff to do in Seattle.

Troy trying out clam chowder from the Golden Garden pier...my treat!

Camden caught a fish!  Then a crab!!
Eating at the Ramen Man near Golden Garden Beach...one of Dan's favorite places to eat because they give out all you could eat soft boiled eggs

Here we all at Zillow's game room playing

And eating the crab

And checking out the view.
We had a lot of fun cooking and eating the crab at Zillow.  When Troy and his family left, we felt that emptiness. It marked the end of that beautiful visit.  We can hardly wait for the next gathering.  Troy made Dan very happy by staying a little longer.  It's just never long enough.  I sat around a bunch of my girl friends listening to them complain about their in laws at breakfast one morning when we went out to eat.  When it was my turn to say something, I told them how lucky I feel that the only complaint I have about my in laws is that they don't visit me enough.  I love people and I love being around visitors.  They have an energy of excitement that I feed off of.  It's a wonderful feeling.
The rest of July was the usual.  We went to the annual Highlands Day where the community gives back to us some of what we paid to the HOA.  This year they had a super hero theme.  It was way way cute.  A lot of games and rides as well.

Summoned for jury duty.  I was so excited!!  Probably one of the only few that get excited.  My mother would still tell you that I should've gone into law.  I showed up, hoping I could still sit in with the baby since I'm still nursing, but they said 'no take the day off'.  I said I really wanted to so they told me I should pick a simple case and sit in for a while and see.  I did, and Darion proved to me it was impossible.  He was yapping the whole time so we left pretty soon after arriving.

One night after a nice bath Dan had the kids make a still face and lie down next to each other.  They lined up almost perfectly like stairs.  We had a good laugh.  I think he's trying to show me that 4 is a perfect number,
We went to Mt. Si blueberry farm and picked a tons of blueberries.  Then I got into the kick of pie making.

I made some with the peaches from our yard

It was lovely to have a NW fully bloomed garden

The kids made a water slide.

We did some beach hoppings

Family walks and hikes every weekend

I took the kid to Remlinger farm.  Ronin's first time.  They had a train, a couple of rides , including a roller coaster and teacup spin, barrel spin, go carts, and ferris wheel

Swimming and saying bye to friends who moved away
And another spotlight in the newspaper :)

We went to Costco for some peaches, paid about $9 for the box on the left.  Then on the way back from visiting our friends we saw a sign that said $9.99 for a 30 lbs box!  Scored! We got some Wenatchee Washington freshly picked peaches.  I cut them up and threw them in the freezer
And the Summer in Washington is fantastic so we got a lot of tanning outside

Seattle Center
We love the new park at Seattle Center!!!

And biking...or daddy being silly on Ronin's bike

And picking free blackberries on our bike rides
