This is from our church parking lot.
October was still fairly warm. Ro, Darion and I enjoyed meeting up with friends at the library and pack a lunch and meet outside of the library and watch the salmons as they come back to the hatchery to spawn. Ro really loved the salmons and we did this every week in October
Proudly wearing my bahamas shirt to the gym
Reality hit hard after a travel like that. I just wanted to keep traveling. I had the travel bug big time. Hubby came home with my favorite candies
Cheese, what's with all the cheese? We had a Relief Society event that I was in charge of the cheesy fondue so I sent Dan out to get me some specialty cheese as well. He came home with $40+ of cheese. We invited Reena's flute teacher and his family over as well as the missionaries for a Melting Pot style dinner
The rest of the cheese I brought to our RS event.
We had the ultimate girly fun time. Played Bunco and looked who got crowned Queen of the Buncos?!
Our neighbor brought me some homemade wheat bread. Best wheat bread I've ever had!
I took the boys to the pumpkin patch and got some fresh pumpkins. Roro loved the wagon, Darion was unsure
The girls got to work on the Halloween decor and pumpkin carving
And pages and pages of angry birds were drawn. I have about 10 of these to show you but to spare you the boredom...
It was a no-brainer that Angry Birds would be our theme. I got to work and started with fabric I already had lying around for the backing. They were so fun and easy to make. I actually really enjoyed making these costumes. I did no measurements and it was great and took less time because of it.
The kids got to wear their costumes at both the church's Halloween party as well as their school Halloween's party. The kids at their school thought their costume was creative and unique because no one else had it.
Me: The pig princess, Reena: Stella, Darion: Bubbles, Debrie: Chuck, Ronin: Red, Dan: King Pig (All of these are characters from Angry Birds)
I had a lot of fun celebrating Valentines with my preschool kids as well.
We set our the hot dog and wassel table, our Fifth annual Halloween porch party for the neighbors. Always a hit and I loved hearing the kids come running up saying "mom, dad you have to come have the yummy wassel from the hot dog house" haha
