Disneyland Hong Kong! Is it really worth the money??

Every three months, we have to leave the country, so we decided to go to Hong Kong again, but this time to go to Hong Kong Disneyland. The kids were really excited. So naturally we missed our flight. We scrambled to get another flight only a couple hours later so that our schedule wasn’t too out of wonky. We arrived, checked in at our hotel, and then headed off to the happiest place on the eastern side of Earth. Outside of Hyperspace Mountain, I was holding Darion waiting for everyone else to finish the ride. Captain Phasma and some stormtroopers came up and formed ranks for pictures. Some stormtroopers marched around the crowd and told Darion he was wanted for questioning and then brought us up to meet Captain Phasma. While this was a highlight for Dan, Darion had a bad feeling about this. He cried the whole time. Maybe it was the crying, but I’m pretty sure they are tracking us. It’s the only reason they let us go.

We took so many pictures but we'll spare you the boredom so here are just some favs.  I'm heading to simplifying my blog posts (I know kids will be sad about that as they love reading our blog posts in our printed books) and making it more readable to all readers and not just family for sharing of ideas purposes.  So was it worth it is the general question?  Yes it was for the kids happiness but that of course does not account for the cost of hotels, taxis, and food which all were US prices and maybe even a bit more.  Hong Kong is not cheap unless you get away from not having to stay at a hotel, have a friend lend you a car, or you trust yourself to drive a rented car on the opposite side of the road and cook your own food.
Random Chinese girls wanted pictures with Ronin because they thought he was so cute.  That kid's gonna be a heart breaker!

The next morning, we let Reena babysit while us adults headed to the Hong Kong Temple. It’s been a while for us since we don’t have one nearby anymore and it was a very nice experience. Across the street is a distribution center so we stocked up on some goods, picked up the kids, and headed back to Disneyland for a second and fuller day. Rides and rides till we were all tired out.
The next day being Sunday, we used the app to find the nearest English speaking congregation. The kids were really excited to have a somewhat normal primary. We barely found the place. There was no outside signage. Just a door, amongst many, that happened to be open and half way up a flight of stairs inside you could see the painting of Jesus appearing to the Nephites. So we hiked up several flights of stairs to find the chapel and sat down. It didn’t take long to notice that everyone there was older, and then we realized we were attending a singles ward. No primary this time. Spoiler alert: The kids survived.

He really wanted to ride that ride but he wasn't tall enough so tipped toe it goes!
