Where to begin? It's been 2 weeks full of fun. So much to pack into one blog. I will begin with the arrival of my sister Thuyen. She came in on the 4th of July and celebrated the holiday with us, except we did all of our celebration the day before so we just made star cookies and ate a lot of food that night. The next day though we didn't waste time and Dan had the day off so we took my sister to the Seattle Arboretum and around Lake Washington. We've lived here nearly 2 years, have passed the lake many times over the floating bridge, especially Dan as that is his work route. But we've never driven around the whole lake before. It was purely beautiful. There were so many people out on their bikes and having picnics by the beaches. The whole day was very relaxing. The weather was a beautiful 70 degree.
CHISM BEACH (on Lake Washington)

PIRATE DAY (at Alki beach)

We live in one of the funnest places to live. Sea (sp) for yourself.
http://seafair.com/ 2 months of Summer celebration everyday. Yeah Seattle is the ultimate place to celebrate Summer. With temperatures this week being above 80, a couple of times in the low 90's and no clouds in the sky, everyone got excited and are out and about. We went to several beaches and loaded up with Vitamin D. We delayed our camping trip when our friends told us about this huge annual event that goes for the month of July. From wooden boat festival, pirates booty carton milk derby to real pirate ships. We headed to the Seafair Pirates Landing celebration. They had real Caribbean ships, some used in the film Pirates of Caribbean.
The Pirates are coming! Arghhh!

The tides were extremely low, creating a pool for everyone to play in

CAMPING IN LA PUSH (twilight town)
We left beautiful sunny 80 degrees Seattle weather to camp in foggy La Push weather.

But at least we were protected from the bad vampires.

Waking up to the sound of the beach

Me, the cook. Mind the clothes and no make up please. I just woke up and threw on the first thing I saw hanging out of my bag.

Last one is the rotten egg. I had to force a smile out of this sleepy head with a sausage.

Debrie tasting the sand

Reena loving the beach. The sand even got through her sleeper.

Love this picture of Dan and little Brie.

The drive home. Cresent lake, a very long lake. Beautiful.
