May I

May started off tough with Dan escaping Seattle for 2 days to Phoenix.  I believe that was the longest we've been apart since we got married.  We both couldn't really sleep.  We talked and texted and texted some more.  Dan stayed up late into the night working on the biggest project of the year.  He was in charge of getting this project out to the Phoenix fulfillment center and then eventually throughout the whole world so this was a biggy.  He was very nervous but he made it!! He showed off his project and everything turned out perfect.  He got a nice bonus and some extra Amazon stocks and we're pretty happy that he came home to us safe and sound.
The day he came home he took the light rail from the airport and came straight to a Mariner's baseball game that our best friends, the Frasers gave us tickets to.  We know enough people now that anytime we want to go see a Mariner's games, we wouldn't have to ever buy tickets.  Last time the Hoskins gave us some pretty sweet tickets with $40 to spend at the Mariners store or for food.  This time the Frasers gave us some pretty sweet tickets, too.  We were on the front row and had an amazing view.  We love our friends!!
The Frasers, with their new addition, little Phoebe.

We held a bbq at our house the next day and grilled some amazing burgers, chicken, and hotdogs.  We also had our new best friends, Gene, Emily, and Ellyanna Hurd over as well and we all stayed up until midnight that night.  So much fun!  We've bbq'd several times now and one time we did Salmon burgers.  It was fabulous. Definitely we will do that again!
In May I also started a craft club.  Every other Thursday I have about 4 people at my house doing some kind of crafts.  It all started with this wreathe.  I made a coffee filter wreath for my front door and then took a picture of it, posted it on fb and it just took off.  A lot of my friends loved it and so I decided to offer up my house every other Thursday for a craft day.  It's a bring your own craft and or bring kids crafts for the kiddos to do with you. It's simple and it gives me a chance to be with my friends and for Reena and Debrie to have playdates with their friends.  It gets crazy some times and my house is usually messy afterward, but everyone brings a dish to share and our lunches are much more yummy...

Here the kids made pine cone bird seeds.
We've had 2 other craft day and so far it's been a lot of fun getting to know my new friends a little better. I've doubled my friends since moving here to the Highlands.  In order to do well in Real Estate, I need to make sure I know a lot of people and make some great connections which will help my business out in the future.  The people around here are amazing, talented, active, and super friendly.

May was the last month for concerts.  What a great year it was to sing with so many talented women.

Mother's day was beautiful as always.  No cooking, no cleaning, totally relaxing and our ward treated us on the third hour with a nice lunch and sweet treats.  Afterward we took a stroll around our church/temple ground.
The best camera is the one you always have with you.  The phone.  The bottom picture was just on our walk and this was taken behind our house.  That's our fence!
The rest of the time in May was spent having lunch picnics with our friends at the park by our house.  I'm so happy we live near such a huge ball park.  The playground is really nice and the kids love going there.  May gave us good summer weather, which really is in the 80's only but for Seattle, that's freakin' hot.  June is looking kinda cold but May was really great.  The kids loved playing outside and I had a few good runs including an 18.46 mile run into Seattle as I get ready for my Vashon Island 50k ultra marathon.  The training is enough to make me happy but it will be fun to do a race like this.
We discovered a new trail by our house.  So beautiful!
The kids enjoyed several nice days outside as I prepared for Brie's 3rd Birthday Party (making of the castle there).  Stay tuned.
