From the top of my head I can recall the weather being warmer than usual, as in in many days in the 80's. You bet ya Seattlites were very happy about that. We started the month off with an outdoor adventure that inspired a rock story to be created for Brie
Then my friend Sun visited me after 12 years of not seeing each other. College, marriage, kids, etc... have separated us but thanks to modern technology that was made possible. She came out for a job interview, got the job offered and was planning her move when we met up. We went out to eat and caught up on each other's lives. She asked me to recommend her to places to meet people and being a ward missionary I mentioned "church". She said "cool, I want to go to your church" and I said "wow, are you serious?" This is April news but she took one discussion and went to church with me. If she converts, that would be 2 friends from High School converting. Dan thinks it's my psychology background. Maybe communication classes and sales jobs I've had in the past is paying off.
Another event in March that I got to participate in was the Relief Society birthday. Fun and yummy cupcakes!!
One of Dan's close friends from the ward did a gig and got Disney's attention and they promoted him to a bigger better paying job so sadly he took it. It was a great opportunity for him but sad for us as we really like them. We wish them all the best and threw a going away party for them.
Reena had a slumber party in March with a friend from school. It was nerve wracking for me to send her off to someone's house I've never met. She and several other girls from the class were invited to stay over and watch movies, play games, and sleep over at one of the girls in the class' house. I made sure that I spent as long as I could getting to know the mom on the day I dropped Reena off and stayed as late into the night as I could watching Yours Mine and Ours with them. I survived the night without my baby girl home. She is so grown up. I can hardly believe she is mine.
Little sister really missed her big sister so she had to join in on the movie. Sleeping bags and 8 giggly girls, I was told that they stayed up talking 'til MIDNIGHT and woke up at 6:00 AM. Brave mom to take on such a party. She hired 2 babysitters to help her out thankfully.
March gave us so many sunny days. Seattle did a good job selling itself to me before I go down to Florida. In fact it was a beautiful 65 degrees a few times and into the 80's on some days even. We got some gardening done. We harvested some more brussel sprouts and broccolini
My brother in law's mom sent Ronin this adorable little outfit from Scotland. So sweet of her I just had to use it for once. He is growing so fast. He was 5 months and was a pro at rolling over and pushing himself up and started to leap.
He's got a smile that just lights up a whole room in an instant. Very contagious. I absolutely adore my baby boy
And the biggest round eyes.
He started to eat and he practically eats everything and eats it quite well. Loves avocado and spaghetti and meatballs.
The cousins got together for dinner at Dave and Kim's house. What's really funny about this picture is that everyone looks uninterested in talking to each other and looking at their electronic devices, but the reality was that we were all participating in a heated word game.
We discovered a scrumptious local donut and sweets place. Gotta love Seattle when you're a foodie.
We also tried the new neighborhood cupcakes, Pinkebella. Holy smokes I didn't realize how much they were charging per cupcakes until I exposed the little misses to these cupcakes. They were charging $3.75 per cupcake and they're not even that big. I can make a better incing! Too much money spent. I was not impressed.
Little man getting chubby. Dan's favorite thing is to come home to his little man. Lol
We celebrated St. Patrick's day with 40 other people at Playgroup. My playgroup is getting bigger and bigger. It's truly exhausting to teach music to that many kids and their parents.
And of course Subway on a green day.
SCAVENGER HUNT
Our friends the Strobells introduced us to this on going neighborhood scavenger hunt. We got out one Saturday and did this together. It was so cute and fun. So great to be a part of a master planned community and enjoy all the neat little things like this. Sacrificing lake views for this is worth it after all.
PRESCHOOL FIELD TRIP
I organized a field trip for my preschoolers. We went to the Mudhouse painting and pottery.
I started training for my second half marathon (which is this Saturday actually). My sister will join me for the one in June but this one I will be running with a few ladies in the ward. I ran along Lake Sammamish. Just gorgeous!!
Another gorgeous view is this from Snoqualmie Falls. We took Sun to see it. She was very impressed.
The girls are moving right along in their ice skating classes thanks to Frozen. We took them out to see that movie on the week that it came out in November and ever since then it is Frozen sing along nonstop.

And lastly, I got to help throw a baby shower for a friend who I just visited and met her baby girl for the first time today. I made her a diaper cake with stuffed clothes and toys for baby and lotion for mommy.
And I believe that sums up our March. Ronin is starting to go back to sleeping a little better. Our traveling has set him back but doesn't he look so adorable snuggling up on top of that snail and bugs blanket Nama made for him? So adorable! He looks like a little snail here.

Until the next post.......more crawling practice
