April - Disneyworld (Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom) Universal Studios

Now that Debrie's Frozen party was over and my Glee concert just finished up today.  I can finally breath for a little bit before the cultural event on Wednesday where I will be teaching people yodeling (First I have to teach myself).  But hey I've got a few hours.  Here goes...
The titles says it all.  April rocks!  What a thrilling month it was, literally.  It started off with my birthday where my friends took me out to eat at a fancy restaurant and I brought the whole family and everyone was treated to yummy delicious food.  I got a tons of flowers from my preschool kids and the kids I teach music to at the community center. I also had a lot of fun doing a tour at the Seattle chocolate factory.  The name of the factory is Theo and they had fantastic chocolate with so many amazing flavors.  The tour itself was only $7 per person and you get to sample a lot of different chocolate.  But I walked out of there spending a ton of money on chocolate.  I gave them to Dan's family and still have some more I need to send out to people.  I brought it to Florida as well and I'm drooling as I'm talking about it so moving on!

Dinner at Din Tai Fung -  down town Bellevue
This is a little park along the dock which is outside of the chocolate factory.  Dinosaur shape!  How fun!

This is heaven on earth right here.  Each of their caramel chocolate piece was $3 for a 2 inch x 2 inch squares.  So heavenly!

We had to wear these funny hair nets to walk inside the factory.  Brie didn't want to put hers on until they handed her chocolate :)

We all looked ridiculous in those hats.  But sampling chocolate was fun

Spring Break
Living in Seattle is sweet because you get both mid winter break which is in February but then you also get a spring break.  We didn't leave for Florida right away since my family gets out for Spring break a week after us.  So we spent the first 3 days of spring break here in Seattle.  It turned out to be perfect weather.  One day it was about 85 degrees so we drove 35 minutes to our favorite beach - Golden Garden.  Ronin didn't know what to think of the sand when I put him down, but he soon decided that he liked it. We made a stop at Theo chocolate on the way with our friends, the Strobells, and got them hooked on the chocolate as well.

The kids played at the playground by the sand and then the sand and then back to the playground and then the sand.  We practically had to drag them into the car to go home.
The next day Debrie and I had a mother daughter date with a friend and her daughter and we tried a cute little restaurant and play area in town called "Mom and Me Crepes and Tea"  She and I had some crepes and we had raspberry tea.  We bought muffins for our friends Shandi and her daughter Sophia.

Preschool Field Trip
I don't know why I squeezed in so much before our trip.  I guess I feel bad that I extended the preschool spring break to 2 weeks so I tried to make up to make it fun for the kids.  I took them to Boehm's candy chocolate factory in town and then to the fire station.

We got into the sweet treats making to sample for Debrie's Frozen birthday.  Frozen yogurt

We harvested some more brocollini from the garden before we left
We soaked up the soft Seattle sun and then off we went!

FLORIDA
What an amazing time we had with my family in Florida. It was all so magical!!!! It was so hard to leave. I miss my family so so much. #BEST$3000SPENTEVER!!!
A picture says a thousand words.  I could sit and talk about our trip all day.  It was amazing.  Every part of it.  I got to see my family, meet my new nephew, be a part of a wedding

Animal Kingdom felt really short.  We got there sort of late.  Reena and her uncle Mike got to go on more rides.  She will tell you that Everest was her favorite ride.  You could see it in the background.  We took a lot of pictures here as it was our first day.  I'll have to sit down and compose a book of pictures of our trip soon.  My mom hated the fact that it cost $100 per person but we dragged her into it anyway.  She enjoyed herself.  Her favorite was the NEMO the musical surprisingly.  Mine was the big dinosaur ride in the dark.  The girls got really scared at the end when the T-rex chased them. I want to go back for a few more rides next time.

Animal Kingdom is really like a big Zoo with some rides.  Ronin enjoys the shade here and smiling at people as they pass by.

We went for a week so we had everything planned out where we'd go 'til a park closes and then take a day of rest.  My dad was able to take a few days of work out to join us.  It was a sweet reunion.
We rented a home and cooked and ate together and took turns eating the babies cheeks.
And watching silly movie clips on our phones

And snuggling

OK Universal studios was my absolute favorite.  The roller coaster rides were amazing and long story short but we've got tickets to the Universal studios Hollywood and we're heading there next!  I found a deal, thought it was for the Orlando one.  Turned out it was for the Hollywood one and they are not interchangeable.  Again, $100 per person.  It was so expensive.  I almost didn't go in but my cute and rich sister came out saying she didn't care that it was expensive and that she wanted to be with me so she bought my ticket.  How cute was that.

Every where we went Ronin got compliments on his gorgeous round eyes and his hat!
This was Shrek 4-D I believe or maybe it was Despicable me, which is a brand new ride so Dan and the kids waited for about 75 minutes to ride that thing

Oh yeah!  Twister was cool, but I think the Mummies Ride and Transformers were my dad's favorites.  I just love them all.  The thrill...awwww...amazing.  We are saving Hogwarts for after the kids finish reading Harry Potter with their daddy.  That one was in Island of Adventure and was another $100 per person.  The kids wanted to go to Magic Kingdom instead.  I would've rather Hogwarts...but I guess I will wait :(

Every night...Midnight bedtime
I love this picture of Reena.  She was such a trooper.  Debrie complained a little about staying up late but Reena kept going.

Downtown Disney

My mama is stylish!!  I love her.

So one really cool thing about Downtown Disney was the T-rex cafe.  It is this huge restaurant fully decorated like a dinosaur jungle.  It is AMAZING!  The food was fantastic, and the kids were in awe the moment they stepped in.  They got to eat and also dig for dinosaur bones.

Only my sister Thanh is missing in this picture.  She couldn't make it due to her nursing program.  She had to study for her final exams.  We missed her a lot, but she will be up in Seattle soon for the Rock and Roll race she and I are doing.

Again we stayed out late late late

The weather the week we were there was hot hot hot.  90 degrees was the average.

My sweet adorable little nephew.  I just love love him!

And another day of resting by the pool.

Ronin didn't care for the water as much.  He liked chilling on the side with Ba Ngoai more.

DISNEY WORLD - MAGIC KINGDOM

And these pictures said it all, too.  Tired, beaten, midnight every night and the last night we stayed out at Magic Kingdom until 1:00 AM and didn't get to bed 'til 2:00 AM.  We were thankful the next day was the wedding.  Ronin was super tired and so was his mommy.  I got to take some professional pictures for the wedding and that was fun.  Congrats to our friends Leanne and Elijah Barton, my brother in law's brother.

Yeah it was a CRAZY fun trip.  I will do it again in a heart beat.
