June II

 European Cultural Night
June was a fun month, especially when you're in the entertainment business as it seems like that is what I do.  I'm either entertaining my kids and husband at home or teaching music at the community center or singing in Glee concerts, etc.  In June I got put into the party committee for a European cultural night put on by the Ward Missionaries.  We had many meetings and gathered people who have visited, lived, and/or served a mission in the European countries.  We had booths and food, music, dancing and games.  I was nominated to be the MC for the night.  I guess it's my calling, either solos or MC.  This was the third time I got nominated to be the MC and I'm starting to get a hang of it.  I got away from doing a solo but a week after got asked to sing a solo for Relief Society so no escaping.  Music is just our lives.  Our best friends the Strobells and us could easily waste hours on the guitars if our kids permit us.  Can't hide from it so embrace it.
Here are the pics from the event.  It was a huge deal and the church got special permission to put it on at the community center (where I teach music).  Because it wasn't at our church building we had a great turn out of people from the community.

We even had a guy from the Stake played the bagpipes
It doesn't take as many people to plan a party especially with all sorts of ideas nowadays from the major planners called Pinterest and Etsy but it takes many people to implement the ideas to have a successful party for hundreds like this.  I'm so grateful so many people helped carry out our plans.
Utah trip
My brother came into town because it was cheaper to fly into Seattle than it was flying into SLC.  We also had plans to go check out our house in Spanish Fork to see if any maintenance was needed and such.  We had so much fun touring Seattle and had the race and recital and then took off to visit Utah.  We stopped by in Idaho to see my sister Thao and her family because they happened to be there for a Nelson Family Reunion.

We met up with our besties The Strobells and we all went to Cowabunga Bay.  So much fun.  Ronin was not a big fan of the water though.  We had to quickly change that.  No no for a Seattle boy.

We met up with my adopted grandpa Haslem.  Love him so so much!!!  We treated him and everyone to a lunch and then headed home.  Wish we had more time as always.

GNO ( Girls Night Out)
Coming back from Utah I had a fun Girls Night Out with some friends.  My friend Wendy put it together both times. We went out for some delicious authentic Japanese Ramen from Ku Kai.  It was amazing!  I could literally eat there everyday.  These are my my regular group of ladies.  Such a fun group of charismatic easy loving personalities.

We also had a lot of pool parties, eating out at our favorite Thai restaurant and chillin'
