May Part II and Debrie's Beanie Boo Birthday Party

Debrie turned 6 years old!!!  I love this spunky, fun loving, sweet and energetic little girl of mine.  She is full of personality.  She reminds me so much of myself.  She is a good big sister, loves her brother and her sister and is passionate about life.  She adds so much to our family and we enjoy watching her grow up
She thought long and hard about what kind of birthday she wanted.  She loves her beanie boo animals and loves playing tea parties with them.  She received a tea party set for her birthday and woke up to some fun decorations for her birthday party.  Dan and I stayed up 'til 1:30 decorating for her party.  We were very tired the next day but when she saw this and the expression on her face, it was priceless.
She helped with making her cake and cupcakes. She had a blast with her girl friends. Happy birthday to my baby girl. I still can't believe she is 6 years old!!!

The girls each got a hat and they decorated it with flowers, feathers, etc...

We also played a Beanie Boo bingo game.  Reena helped entered in all the names of the Beanie Boos to help the kids that were not familiar with the beanie boos

Reena made her pinata!  I thought she did a fantastic job

 Peonies bloomed just in time!

She got so many fun gifts from her friends, 2 of which are huge beanie boos almost half her size.  She was very excited about that!
The other parts of May

When we got back into town from Utah, the weather was still a little cold, but it wasn't cold too long after.  Debrie had a birthday party that she attended for a friend.  The girls started swimming classes and life was pretty chilled

We went and saw the Avengers: Age of Ultron with our friends and then headed out for a late night happy hour at the Ram.

Dan is still trucking a long on his DRONE

Ronin rocked it in Nursery.
He doesn't slow down for anything, except Chugginton, his favorite show about trains!  In the picture below he is holding a Popsicle while climbing

Reena's Pioneer Concert
Reena came home from school one day and said "mommy you need to make me a pioneer outfit for my concert".  Make, yes, not buy.  She has high expectation for me.  I started looking through my closets for scrap pieces of fabric and dresses I no longer wear.  I chose the route of repurposing.  I added fabric, buttons, and pulled together this dress for her.  She got a tons of compliments on Facebook as well as at school on her outfit.  She was very happy about how it turned out and so was I.  I'm proud to claim myself the daughter of a professional tailor.  My mom never taught us how to sew, we just watched her.  I hope I could pass some skills down to my children.

My peonies were coming in so nicely.  I made several bouquets for friends and neighbors for their birthdays

Happy birthday to our Papa!  We enjoyed our day out shopping at Pikes Place Market for his birthday gifts
What I love about May in Seattle is...our Farmers market.  This one is in Issaquah.  Local grown goods and delicious food is what I go there for.

Last but not least, we got together with the Astles and the other Stevens that are here in Washington for a Memorial bbq.  We hardly ate there because 2 hours previous our next door Argentinian neighbors invited us over for a scrumptious Argentinian bbq.  Those Argentinians, they know what they're doing when it comes to barbecuing meat,
