April Adventure Part I

So much to catch up on.  We just got back from a whirlwind adventure to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Phoenix!  You can imagine the cost of time/money traveling with 4 kids, 2 parents, a sister, and brother in law and coordinating meals, hotels, rental cars, and schedule on where to be and such.  It all came about because I wanted to go to our company's National Convention which took place in Las Vegas. We had a fabulous time bonding and would do that trip all over again.  Now back to life and enjoying this gorgeous weather of the NW summer.  We came back to 82 degrees and sunny vs. 113 degrees that were Vegas and Phoenix.  LA and San Diego did give us a nice break.  Since I started this blog post two weeks ago, a lot has happened, including the Stevens reunion.  But...

This blog post is for April so here it goes!
April started with us celebrating my 29th birthday for the 3rd or 4th time.  I lost track of time :)
My mother in law was so thoughtful and took notes in December when she was here that my pie pan was going rusty, so she bought me 2 new ones!  And how clever is that pie pan, eh?
This is the first time I've done this but I saw this cake when I went shopping 2 days before and couldn't resist!  I told Dan he doesn't have to get me a cake bc I already got myself one.  It was  delectable!!

My sweet friend Leilani brought me my favorite "All bundt cake" cupcakes and my friend Jen Anderson brought me some flowers.  Overall a wonderful birthday full of spiritual thoughts from Conference and friends always make me happy

Flowers were blooming every where in my yard as well. These camellias bloomed just in time
And my treat for everyone...lemon mousse

We've been blessed to have 3 missionaries in the family that are out in the field. We've been reading their testimonial letters for FHE and have been tremendously blessed to hear their testimonies

Dan got his copy of Star Wars episode VII the day it came out of course!
We have a very happy baby.  He only cries if he doesn't see people,  He's a social boy
Dan and I went on a date one night and he said " do you hear that?"  I asked "hear what?" and he said "exactly!"  Get it?
Lots of sunshine this year in April.

My friend JoLyn came for a little surgery.  We took care of their kids and had a lot of fun.  We just love company for any occasion.
We took them to my friend Duane's house in Maple Valley, about an hour from our house and we did some boating.  Duane was so kind and spent a whole afternoon with us.  We took him to nice Japanese restaurant after

We followed them out to Walla Walla a day after and went to IDAHO!!!!  See you on the next post about our Idaho trip
