June Beauty-Tea Parties-Luau-Father's Day

After the crazy messy party, I had some times to myself to relax and my way of relaxing is interior designing and decorating.  I didn't like the color of the console table that I bought even though I absolutely loved the design.   So, I got busy and repainted it.  I still haven't finished our bedroom set but this was more important.  I threw 3 parties for 2 friends who are moving at the end of this month and end of the year celebration.  One of those parties had 10 adults and 16 kids and did result in someone bringing a nasty 24 hr bug and we caught it but thankfully it was over quick.  The bug was apparently a pretty contagious one and had been spreading slowly through our ward.  We have never had a bad bug like this before.  It's been 7 yrs at least for me.
Then it was more nesting.  Harry Potter closet and then the baby's room.  "Do or do not, there is no try". Sorry Yoda, I tried. How long do you think this toy closet will stay this neat?
Our landscapers made a mistake. What a wonderful mistake. They went way beyond our fence line and thought that was part of our property when they put down the mulch. They had to throw out some wild grass seeds.
Be your own kind of beautiful
Peonies grew really well this year in my garden.  They make for great birthday gifts for friends.
I decided it was time to pull out the nice camera for some fun pictures behind the backyard

It's also a perfect time to catch those 2 missing front teeth!

 Fox Hollow Farm
My preschool's next field trip I'm taking the kids here so we thought it would be fun to scope out this farm and see what they offer.

We were next to the paragliding mountain so people were hanging on their parachutes right over our heads.  Issaquah is so much fun!

Little Kate's Birthday
Little Kate's birthday was special.  It was a beautiful summery day, a perfect way to celebrate a little girl who almost didn't make it but with lots of prayers and fasting and a miracle, this little girl survived.  We all went over to the cousins house and celebrated with Matt and Shelly, Dan's cousins.  We brought some fruits.  Just had to show off our Washington grown watermelons.  So delectable!

Daniel's birthday party at the kidzbounce
We got new neighbors!!!  Our neighbors' house was on the market for $699,000 and we thought for sure they will not be able to sell it at least for a while.  Surprising it sold in 2 months!!  Wow!! Almost made us want to sell our house and build another.  But these neighbors are awesome!!  They have a little boy Daniel who is a year older than Reena and he plays so well with Reena and Debrie.  He would come out and call for the girls and they would come out and they would play for hours taking turns at each others backyard.

The Highlands, our community sits on a hill and it wants to be unique.  Yes we have a community day garage sale.  Everyone that wants to sell sets things out on their garage.  We didn't really have a lot we want to sell so I decided to have the girls sell lemonade.  They loved the idea and got really excited to do it.  They sold $10 worth of lemonade in just an hour!  They were excited~~

 Father's Day
A boy met a girl, convinced her to be his wife, and then she made him a daddy.  After the daddy he knew and loved he became and the circle of life continues.  How grateful we both feel for the fathers that we know and love in our lives and for their love for us.  Fathers are so important to have and to hold.  Their good examples shine through their children's lives and the children are blessed because of the choices their fathers chose.

Can't describe how much I love this man!

This is how much I love him.  One day he expressed an interest in replacing his bike so I said"Go ahead and go get one since you've been researching"  I'm thinking Father's day is coming and this would be a nice present for him.  So he went to a bike store and got one and when he got home I asked "How much did you spend?"  Here I am thinking a $500 or $600 bike is a pretty nice bike.  He told me "It was $1300"  WHAT?!?!@#$%^&;  I didn't believe and waited for him to say just kidding or something.  NOPE.  NOTHING.  Yeah I convinced him to get back and get something slightly cheaper.  So we all did and we got Reena a nice $200 specialized bike as well for an early birthday present.

And as always we always have to get seafood after any Aquarium trips.  This time it was with a giant crab and clams for a hot pot dinner along with Mackerel fish.  $60 meal but it was fresh and tasty.

Tea Party Time With Cousins
Ever since we got back from Scotland I've been really into high tea time.  That was the most memorable event on our trip to me.  We had high tea after touring the castle in Edinburgh and went to this really fancy posh place for some tea.  Tea time brings back so much memories of when my grandma and I sat together and had tea when I was young.  Ever since becoming a Mormon, I have not drank much tea.  But there are so many yummy fruity teas and non caffeinated teas out there.  With this tea time for the girls I got some yummy sparkling juice drinks from Trader Joes.

The kids got the nice fancy chairs and we get their table.  It is always fun to have the cousins over to our house.
Tea Party #2 Farewell for Harmony

Here and there I started building up so many scrap pieces of paper from party invitations and scrap booking.  I decided I would make some cards and people are wanting to buy them now.  I'm selling them by sets of 50.  I owe Dan's mom a mother's day gift so the first set is going to his mom who is much better at sending out cards for special occasions.  I'm not very good at sending cards out but making them, that I can do so I feel like sending them to his mom is my contribution, something I've done in the past.

Finally, our biggest announcements yet this year.  It's a BOY!!! We decided to reveal the gender of the baby.  We can't wait much longer.  The kids are so excited.  We are absolutely thrill!!  It's perfect to have 2 little girls first and then a boy.  The girls are such moms already.  I'm going to have 2 little moms helping out and Reena is going to be a great babysitter.

 A cute little high five!

 Belly shot for 6 months
Celebrations time!  My friends brought me flowers and balloons.  I feel so loved.

Summer School
So technically school is over but I'm running a Summer School Program and a music class at my house.  I love the experience we've had together the last year and don't want it to stop.  I'm going to post their cute craft projects on our website (www.tootletots.com) and create a year book here soon for purchase.  The Summer program includes the 6-8 year olds as well as my 3-5 year olds.  I took them to the Fox Hollow Farm for some fun to kick start the Summer Big Buddies Program.

Summer starts!!!  84 degrees today and up to 89 degrees next week.  Looks like beach time for us!
