One Saturday we were bored, so Dan said let's watch Star Wars. We started with Episode 4, couldn't stop and a little 3 yr old girl kept asking to watch more. She didn't want to stop until she has seen all the ones she's allowed to see, which was all but the 3rd episode.
Deep thoughts conversation with her one morning.
Me: Brie, why do you keep coming into mommy and daddy's room at night?
Brie: Because I want to sleep with the baby
A little later...
Me: What kind of birthday do you want? It's almost time for your birthday
Brie: I want a Vader birthday
Me: You mean like a Star Wars birthday party?
Brie: No, I want just a Vader party, maybe a few Ewoks. You let me have a Wall-E birthday party before, why can't I just have a Vader party?
Me thinking to myself...this little girl acts and talks more like she's 5 or 6, not 3 turning 4. Sigh......
Yep she loves it that much!! She is girly in every way. Skirts and dresses all the time, loves playing with all of her dolls, and is this big into Star War??? Yep!
I made the invitations

Her invitations are my favorite. They are really witty and cute I think.
Reena and Dan helped make these R2D2 cupsC3PO Gold medals
Vader hunt games (I found these Vader helmet candy filled after Easter for 75% off. I was very happy.
Using my old curtains I made some cloaks.
We made homemade death star pinatas. The kids helped shred the newspapers and mixing the flour glue mix
I needed a bigger table to fit all the kids at the party so Dan got to work. He made the table strong enough to now hold his 2 new computers.
I asked Brie what she wanted for her birthday cake and she said "I want a chocolate cake, all chocolate. Chocolate icing and chocolate on the inside" so here it is all chocolatey.
Brie wanted a part in her cake as well so she made all the little balls. She rolled them all. I didn't even help. Reena made the Yoda on the top using fondant and she also made the light sabers. I made the stars and a few other decorative pieces. The kids helped out a lot and it was very fun for them. It looks super kiddie but I love that they enjoyed making their own cake.
We made some foam light sabers for play time and as party favors. Dan made wooden ones for the pinata smacking session
The Food
The food table
Death Star Cream Puffs
Vader Ice (I just have to throw in some pink somewhere) pink lemonade
Now let the party begin! Thanks to my friend Alexis Danshita for taking these pictures for me because I was running around trying to keep things in order.
A little training for the young jedis before sending them off to battle. There were 16 kids so they had to take turns. I invited 10 but the siblings of the invitees came also so we had to be creative with the number we had.
Her best friend Shantel showed up and that was all that she cared about.
Then the battle began and it was all crazy. We blew up a bunch of punch balls and everyone was using the force to force the balls into everyone else's face and then Vader appeared and it was CRAZY!#@$%^&&^%
But together they united and victory was won!! Since more kids came than was invited it was literally CRAZY!!
The pregnant Padme made an appearance too after the battle and calmed everyone down with her stories. Ahhhh!!! 1-2-3 Breath!!!
Opening presents
Opening presents was just as crazy as the battle scene. Everyone got so excited to have Debrie open their presents for her.
Cutting the cake
Last game of the party - The messy game - Blowing up the death stars
Yeah what was I thinking? Confetti everywhere!!! But it was so perfect for a demonstration of the death star blowing up!
Going for the candies!!! Filling up their goody bags with more candies.
Thanks everybody for showing up!! Now I just want to play with my toys!!!
Happy 4th birthday to our sweet 4 yr old. We could hardly believe she's 4. Somewhere between the moves and building a new custom home, we got so busy we forgot to get her a younger sibling but she is getting one in the Fall and she is super excited. She is just like her daddy with Star Wars. Almost every time you ask her what she wants to watch, it's Star Wars. One of the youngest Star Wars fans I know!! Her daddy became a fan at around the same age.
After her party we took a break...I was asked to sing at this lady's baptism. I have been her ride to several baptisms and she heard me sing while sitting next to her so of course she asked me to sing at her baptism. I sang "I heard him come". I haven't sang this song since college days and even I have to admit that was probably one of my best solo performances. Since I knew the words by heart, I was not depended on looking at the music and truly sang it from the heart. It really brought the spirit in the room very strongly.
Reena lost a top front tooth, then another a week later. It was a dramatic experience for her but she did it.
Other than that we just hung out, helped one of our neighbors move in and settled down and enjoying walks on the trails by our house.
